Clazomenae was an ancient city on the coast of Ionia and a member of the Ionian League. It was one of the first cities to issue silver coinage. Its ruins are now located in the modern town Urla near Izmir in Izmir Province, Turkey.

Gitanae or Gitana,(Greek: Γίτανα, Γίτωνα, Τίτανα, or Τιτάνα) was an ancient city of Epirus, described by Livy as being near Corcyra, and about 10 miles from the coast. (Liv. xlii. 38.) as a place of meeting of the Epirote League (Concillio Epirotarum).

It is not mentioned by any other ancient writer, and it has therefore been conjectured that the word is a corrupt form of Chyton, which Ephorus spoke of as a place in Epirus colonised by Ionians from Klazomenai.
